Let's Be HONEST!

Ok friends. I am going to be perfectly honest with you. Yesterday, due to the crazy winds and lots of huge fallen pine trees :(, there was no power at work. So, what did I do, I went to see the Eclipse Part 1. Here is the honest part, I went BY MYSELF. Oh yes it is true I was  a sad pathetic fan who couldn't wait for a friend to go see this went and I went ALONE. I have to say I am kind of a fan of alone movies. I get the treats I want and I don't even have to share...wow, that is honest. 

I bought my self a popcorn, at least it was a Junior bag and I even practiced self restraint by getting a MEDIUM diet coke. I saw 4 rather large women eating a Xlarge popcorn all by themselves. You know, the bucket that is made out of cardboard rather than just the large bag. Oh boy. I was an interesting and educational day at the movies. Needless to say the movie was pretty good. Much better than a few of the other ones. Ok so now it is your turn. What have you done by yourself that is almost as pathetic as seeing Eclipse by yourself?

note: i have seen movies alone before but to see this particular movie alone added a whole new and sad element to the act of singular movie viewing. 

Happy Birthday to Ralph!

Ralph turns 3 this weekend but since we will be out of town AGAIN, we decided that we should throw him a little shindig with all of his furry little friends. 

Each friend got a bag of goodies to take home with them, even Kitty! Although she did not, in anyway, participate in the festivities. 

We also got the pups a little Birthday Pizza from Ma and Paw's Bakery. It was funny. Chicken, tomato sauce and parmesan cheese. It actually smelled really good. 

 I had to help Charlie because all the big dogs finished before her and she was very nervous everyone was going to steal it.

 5 dogs 6 slices, lots of competition. I was getting lots of kisses and loves while they were trying to win my affections for the last slice. I divided it up evenly. 

 Oh the ball. The activity of the party so cheap but oh so entertaining. 

 Birthday Boy! So excited to have all his friends over. 

 Lucy, the oldest and wisest of all  the pooches. 

 The next day Ralphie was so pooped. It took him 2 days and 4 piles of vomit to recover. Apparently if your dog doesn't throw up after their birthday party, you didn't do it right. 

We had such a good time. Thanks T & Jim and Mike & Abbie for coming, we love you and your pooches. And so does Ralphie.

You may think a dog party is a little over the top but if you know Chris and his love for this little guy you would understand. He is like human. He has so many visits from nieces and nephews and gets presents from his grandparents trips. He also gets to have sleep overs and play dates.
He is such a sweet little guy especially when he is tired. Love him! 

Kathmandu

If you are like me, you are always looking for new restaurants. Don't get me wrong I still love Cafe Rio and Red Butte but sometimes a little variation in my diet makes me a happy girl. SO...Chris and I went to Kathmandu last night. It was really good and very close to Chris's house. When it is this cold outside I get a little lazy and would rather have a grilled cheese than venture out in the freeeeezing weather. Needless to say if you are a good restaurant in my perimeter, you will get eaten at a lot! 

If you like Indian food then Kathmandu is a must. If you don't, its your loss!

Can I get an AMEN for Razzleberry Tea by Peace Tea?! Seriously this stuff is AMAZING!

The boyfriend, wise as usual, introduced me the other day and I am not sorry he did!

Now that I have OFFICIALLY quit drinking Diet Coke...I know, I know. For those of you who know me well (assuming any of you read this blog) quitting Diet Coke is huge and I mean huge! Believe what you will, I have not had one for over a week. That may not be long for some of you but for me...   a lifetime. 

I will say that I feel GREAT! After those initial withdrawal headaches wear off 

(I never said I wasn't an addict). 

Now to replace my craving for the sound of a can being cracked at a ridiculously early hour is 

Peace Tea. Love it!

AMEN!

Is there anything better? 

Chris hosted the annual Christmas party for his friends this year and it did not disappoint. There was an ugly sweater contest, white elephant, dinner, and games! Here are three of the contestants.

 We were voted the best dressed couple. I won the ugly sweater and Chris was runner up. I love this sweater, it always wins!!! Yes, I love a victory!

 The Lawrences are the game masters. They put together a series of games from the show minutes to win it. They are so great to put it all together.

 Chris got a pretty good rhythm down.

I can only speak for myself but I had a great time. These guys do Christmas parties right. Thanks to everyone for bringing stuff and helping out. You are the best.

The MOST amazing BBQ place ever! Those of you who know me well will be very surprised by this post. I don't really like BBQ I like salty foods and I am not a fan of red meat. If I have to eat it I can but it is definitely not my first choice by any means. So, family has been raving this stupid restaurant for years. Somehow I have always gotten out of going because its BBQ. Chris and I went down to San Diego and Chris loves BBQ. Being the good girlfriend that I am, I got directions from my Dad and off we went. We pulled up to this.

I was not happy. It was like when Cafe Rio first opened here. PLUS I wasn't even excited for BBQ

So i know that this looks like the most disgusting thing ever but it was so good.  Two chicken breasts smothered in the best sauce. It has been a long time since I've had a baked potato and this one did not disappoint.  I thought that since Chris got to eat his ribs with his fingers I should get to eat my chicken with mine, I should have taken a picture of his face...he was disgusted! 

Quite possibly the best onion rings ever. They serve them with ranch dressing. 

Since the weather and the Utes had been so bad we decided not to go to the U game but we hit up the Chargers game instead. GO CHARGERS! haha they beat the Broncos...Chris's team. It was a sweet victory for my team. 

In the baggage claim at the airport are these funny little people. They made me laugh. Little did I know it would be the last smile on my face that day since we were flying into Salt Lake last Tuesday...into "The Storm of the Century". Worst flight of my life and I already hate flying.





Well that was my trip to San Diego. Decent weather, fun activities, amazing food and even better company!
